Your Past Does Not Dictate Your Future!!
Some people are born into a world that whispers “Not me” before they even take their first breath.
🔑Many were born into struggle, raised in survival, and told that’s all life would ever be.
I feel you.
🔑Every time they reached for something greater, life snatched it away like a cruel joke.
I feel you.
🔑They’ve prayed, hustled, cried, and still ended up empty-handed.
I feel you.
🔑They know deep down they’re meant for more, but the world keeps treating them like less.
I feel you.
🔑Their dreams used to feel alive, but now they just feel like distant echoes.
I feel you.
🔑They’ve seen everyone else win while wondering when their turn will come.
I feel you.
🔑They’ve built walls around their hearts because disappointment knocked too many times.
I feel you.
🔑They keep showing up, but life keeps handing them the same dead-end road.
I feel you.
🔑They’ve got the vision, but the doors just won’t open.
I feel you.
🔑They’re tired of fighting, tired of waiting, tired of hoping.
I feel you.
Can I be honest? At some point in my journey, I’ve made one of these statements.
It all started with one moment. I had just turned 17, living in Cleveland, Mississippi, and I had a dream.
I was heading down the wrong path, making decisions that weren’t in my best interest. Then, I had a dream—one that shook me to my core. The FEDS were kicking in my door.
I woke up in a panic. That moment changed my life forever. That was the moment I knew Cleveland, MS, was no longer my home.
That was the moment I made a DECISION—which means “to cut off from”—to never be a victim of my circumstances, but rather a victor of my life.
That was the moment I started LIVING for my present and my future.
I was a 9th-grade dropout despite being in all honors classes because I was already two grades behind after failing both 3rd and 5th grade. I once took a zero for the entire year on book reports just to avoid standing in front of the class—I was terrified of reading, writing, and speaking.
In 3rd grade, I nearly got expelled for bringing a knife to school to protect myself from bullies. Looking back, I thank God my best friend told on me. That moment could have changed everything—but so could every failure, every fear, and every time I thought I wasn’t enough.
Then, things shifted.
On my way to Job Corps in Kentucky, my sister moved me to Atlanta. She convinced me to go back to high school, and I graduated with a 3.1 GPA and a HOPE Scholarship.
Then I joined the U.S. Air Force—and because of the experiences of my past, the lessons I learned growing up, and the lifelong mentorship of Sean Banks and Todd Simmons— I crushed the Air Force.
• #1 Airman in Japan 🇯🇵 in just 27 months in the U.S. Air Force. .
• Earned my Bachelor’s degree in 3 years & 5 months while on active duty, all while completing 3 deployments.
You have the ABILITY and CAPABILITY to get it done. ✔️

• A coach, speaker, and entrepreneur
• Former Chairman, Snellville Development Authority
• Former Board Director & Business Advisor for a Youth Nonprofit
• Founder of Diamante Media Group, LLC(Diamante Publications), which has published or consulted on over 200 books in 5 years.
(My 6th-grade teacher, who is now my Phi Beta Sigma frat brother, once told me: “You can do better than that.”)
The moment of decision is when your destiny is shaped.
I am humbled by my past because it created my present.
