This weekend I was at the Tulane Center For Brain Health “Brain Fest.” It brought awareness to an amazing program right in Metairie for first responders and veterans who may be suffering from a traumatic brain injury. And I got to speak with people who had actually been through the program and they said the same thing: “life changing.”
They had someone teaching yoga, tai chi for veterans, kids got to get up close with a fire truck, and had some amazing food! I helped with one of the food stations…but I was in charge of boiling the hod dogs and let the pro’s handle the gumbo, jambalaya, and fried fish. And have you ever heard of fried ribs?? 🤔
This is a wonderful program, and it’s free to veterans and first responders. So please share with someone you know who might be struggling and in need of help.
