Big News for 2026! Avera group plans now cover Sanford facilities, doctors, and nationwide coverage. With this change, any business currently under one of the other carriers may wish to look towards Avera for potential cost savings. Let me know if you want to explore all options instead of simply renewing your current plans. We offer Wellmark, Sanford, and Avera group plans as well as level funded group health options.

After 20 years in the business, it was time to spice things up a bit on an idea now turned reality after 5 years. Introducing Sdhealthinsurance.com, an enrollment website created specifically to assist individuals and families enrolling in marketplace options in South Dakota. This is designed to save time instead of trying to work thru the federal site and you can get quotes without even entering personal information. (Try it) If you decide on an option, this is a partnered site to the federal marketplace so it can pull your previous information securely in and you are able to enroll in 5 to 10 minutes rather than 20 to 30. It is a self enrollment portal, however if you have questions or need any assistance, you will get local support (most likely myself) to help. This idea was derived seeing how many people struggle each year trying to navigate the federal exchange site.

The site is live for anyone that has a qualifying event (SEP) and will be open for the annual enrollment Nov 1st for 2026 coverage. Avera, Sanford and Wellmark options (Wellmark available only in certain counties) will all be available. Both traditional and focused network options will be available thru Avera and Sanford (again county specific) Questions! Please Don't hesitate to reach out!
