They say a picture is worth 1000 words—in this case, it's worth $1,000.

Here's a striking example: Back in 2000, when my parents turned 65, they paid just $45.13 per month for Medicare Part B. Fast-forward to 2026, and at age 90, they'll each be paying $206.50 per month.

Why such a dramatic increase? It comes down to simple math and usage patterns. Every day, more than 10,000 people turn 65 and become eligible for Medicare. What many don't consider is how many of these new enrollees have been postponing major surgeries and procedures while they were still on employer plans with high deductibles. Once they transition to Medicare, they finally address these medical needs.
