Today, we remember our dear friend, Jeff Breisch. 2 years ago today, he left this earth way too soon. He lived life all out and anything he chose to do, he would do it to be the absolute best. Jeff was so many things to so many people. As for me, he was my friend, my trainer, my coach, mentor and my brother. His belief in me is the reason I believed in myself. He was a giant of a man, and to those who really knew him, he had a heart to match. He was a veteran powerlifter, with multiple national records, he won tournaments in Jiu Jitsu, and built a lifting culture by building up everyone around him at Upstate Barbell Club. His club charity events where he always donated the money to Shriners Hospital, community my projects to build homes and pick up trash around the surrounding areas. There is still a sign on Airport rd in Greenville, that says This highway Sponsored by Uostate Barbell Club. One of the best statements I have ever heard used to describe Jeff was when his longtime friend Ollie Pierce of Brit's Brothers Gym Greenville SC said “He disturbed the comfortable and comforted the disturbed.” So for today, hug your friends and family a little bit tighter, text the person you’ve been meaning to text, just to let them know you’re still thinking of them. Jeff, your legacy will continue to live on, we miss you.
