Fannie Mae Changed Its Condo Review Rules.
If you're planning to buy a condo, there's an important change you should know about.
As of August 3, 2026, Fannie Mae eliminated certain Limited Review options for established condo projects with more than 10 units.
That means more condo loans may require a Full Review of the project.
What does that mean for buyers?
Lenders may need to take a closer look at things like:
-HOA finances
-Reserve funding
-Master insurance
-Delinquent assessments
-Pending litigation
Your finances aren't the only thing being evaluated. The condo project matters, too.
