Congratulations to Isaac Striegel!!

HUGE announcement from State Convention. Our very own Isaac Striegel has been elected to the 2026-2027 State Officer Team. He will serve as the Southeast District Vice President. To our knowledge this is Keota’s first state officer in our 83 years as a chapter. Congratulations to Isaac and we can’t wait to see his year of service to our organization!

The Keota 1st graders candled eggs to see how their chicks are growing. Abby Sieren, Outreach Coordinator, met with the kids and had a device with a light at the base of it, and she put the eggs on top of the light to see what the eggs looked like. If there was a lot of light, the chick either didn’t develop or stopped growing. If the egg was dark, that means there is a chick actively growing inside.

The candler had a piece to go over the top of it so the kids could see it magnified. They could see more details and there was one where Abby rotated the egg and the kids could see movement inside the egg. Ms. Ebert even invited a few of the staff members in to take a look as well. We have 21 eggs left in the incubator.

One of Abby's favorite Ag in The Classroom lessons to teach is making butter.🧈 The kids think it is hard work, but sure enjoy eating it with crackers! And they get to have a dance party!💃🕺
