A Big Step in Our History
In 2008, American Southwest Credit Union took a bold step.
After decades of serving Cochise County, we opened our first branch outside the county in Sahuarita, expanding our commitment to local communities across Southern Arizona. What began in a leased location marked the start of a lasting relationship with the Green Valley/Sahuarita area.
A few years later, we moved into our current branch location, reaffirming our belief in the future of this community and our commitment to serving it for the long term.
Today, we're proud of that decision.
What started as a new market has become a true hometown branch. We've welcomed thousands of members, helped families and businesses achieve their financial goals, and built relationships that continue to grow year after year.
A big part of that success belongs to Yesenia Porras and the team that serves Green Valley and Sahuarita every day. Through years of dedication, community involvement, and exceptional service, they have helped make ASCU a trusted part of the community and a financial home for so many local families.
This area will always hold a special place in ASCU's story. It was the first time we ventured beyond Cochise County, and it reinforced something we've believed from the start: strong communities deserve a local financial cooperative invested in their future.
To our members, employees, and community partners in Green Valley and Sahuarita, thank you for being part of this journey. We're proud of what we've built together and grateful to call this community home.
