PSA:
Anyone that has a realtor or loan officer friend on facebook may have seen this already... OHFA (Ohio Housing Finance Agency) has advertised a RATE SALE. This is a great program, HOWEVER, you must know the following:

1) Rate is available to first time home buyers only (unless in a targeted area, see OHFA maps on their website)
2) This is ONLY for new OHFA RESERVATIONS, you cannot pull an existing reservation and relock with them
3) You must be under contract in order to register the loan with OHFA
4) THIS IS NOT THE NORM... This offer may only be available for a few days, maybe a few weeks. If you are trying to qualify for a larger home because of this program I would caution you NOT to do that as this "rate sale" could be gone by the time you get into contract.

I wish you all the best, happy hunting out there to you homebuyers, and if you get in contract soon I will be happy to assist you with this special "rate sale" from OHFA should it still be available.
