100 years and counting of Yount Farms! 🌽🥩
A few weeks ago we all got together to celebrate the first farm purchased by Jerry’s grandfather and grandmother just outside of Craig, MO. Today there are 4 generations living and working on the farm in SE Nebraska. With a growing sixth-generation, we continue to count our blessings and pray that they will choose to steward the land well.

We continue to keep plenty of Fritz Farms pork products in stock. Fritz Farms raises heritage breed Berkshire hogs just a few miles from our farm. Processing is at the USDA inspected Den's Country Meats. All products are available for purchase on our website, with FREE local delivery available on orders over $40!

2026 will mark four years in business serving our local community. We praise God that he has given us the opportunity to raise cattle AND provide our beef to friends and neighbors.

Having our morning cup of coffee with our calves weaning in our front pasture is a dream long realized. 🤩 Our calves are 7-8 months old and in their first few days of weaning from their mommas, who are right across the fence. So far, the calves are zero bothered and enjoying their grass and creep-feed (in our case - corn, molasses, and a protein blend). 🤪

🍁 Ohhh fall on the farm….

While I would like to say this past weekend was spent picking pumpkins, pressing cider, and sipping coffee - it was a bit less romantic. 😅 Working cattle and checking to see if the cows are bred were the priorities.

There are multiple ways of checking to see if a cow has been bred, but we prefer to draw the cow’s blood and have it sent off to a laboratory where it’s tested to see how far along in gestation she is. Blake is the lucky guy who gets to do the blood draws. 🤪
