November 11, 2000 I was in my first week of book camp at Naval Station, Great Lakes wondering what I had just done and trying not to get yelled at. That was the beginning of five years in the Navy. I went straight from childhood to active duty military. Not even a year later 9/11 happened, and I was a 19-year-old kid. It was really hard at times, but that’s just the way it was. I also made good friends and had good times. I visited so many places I probably never would have seen otherwise. I learned and grew. I would do it again.

Looking back, it seems so long ago, and five years is just a fraction of the life I have lived, but my military experience is a big part of who I am today. More than I realized. It will be a big part of who I am moving forward and how I run my business.

I didn’t think to claim it before, but this Veteran’s Day reminds me. I am a veteran, and I should claim it. I should help to represent the veterans out there, especially the women!

So, with all that said, we are Veteran Owned!

WARNING:
I've just encountered a Docusign Phishing Scam. If you use AdobeSign or Docusign, make sure to double check who it is coming from. Luckily, the person who received the email was suspicious and emailed me directly to check. I was able to confirm it was not me who sent it. The scary part is, I had just sent out a document for signature so that person was expecting something. So, always double check, even if you are expecting a document.
