A message from Iron Valley Insurance Group

We’ve heard the rumors. Time to set the record straight.
Iron Valley Insurance Group is not for sale.
Our building is.

We are not going anywhere.
Same team. Same phone number. Same commitment to the families, farms, ranches, and businesses we’ve served since 2009.

Whether we stay in this building or settle just down the road, our roots stay planted in Sheridan County.

The agency you know is staying independent, locally owned, and open for business.

Thank you for trusting us all these years. We’re just getting started.

Jessica here... sharing some thoughts about the Reno - Hawk fire.

This story hits close to home for me.

I’m from Nevada, raised only about an hour and a half south of Reno. Although I live in Wyoming today, Nevada will always be part of who I am. Watching the Hawk Fire move through the Reno area—forcing families to evacuate, destroying homes, and placing first responders in harm’s way—is heartbreaking.

As an insurance professional, there is another part of this story that every homeowner should understand.

Nevada’s AB 376, which took effect January 1, 2026, opened the door for insurance companies to exclude wildfire from a property policy or offer wildfire protection separately. That does not mean every Nevada policy suddenly lost wildfire coverage, and current reporting indicates insurers had not yet begun using the exclusion. But the legal authority now exists—and that should get every homeowner’s attention.

We can no longer afford to assume that simply having a homeowners policy means every type of fire loss is covered.

Read your renewal documents. Review every endorsement. Ask your agent directly:

Is wildfire covered under my policy?
Is there a separate wildfire exclusion or deductible?
Would I need another policy to cover this exposure?

Most importantly, make sure the answers come from the actual policy language—not assumptions.

My heart is with the families who have lost their homes, those who had to leave everything behind with little warning, and the first responders working to protect entire neighborhoods.

This is exactly why insurance education matters.

Coverage should be understood before the smoke is in the air—not after. ☹️

We’d like to share an update from Iron Valley Insurance Group.

After many years with our office, Jennifer DaFoe has decided to take the next step in her career and open her own independent agency specializing in Medicare and health insurance.

We’re grateful for Jennifer’s years with Iron Valley and for the care and dedication she has shown our clients along the way. It has been a pleasure watching her grow professionally, and we’re proud to have played a part in her journey. We respect her decision to take this next step into agency ownership and sincerely wish her success in this new chapter.

For our Medicare and health clients, Iron Valley will communicate directly with you regarding any changes or transition details that may affect your account. At this time, there is nothing you need to do.

Congratulations, Jennifer! We wish you all the best as you begin this new venture.

Sometimes the greatest compliment isn’t a review or a referral—it’s an unexpected act of kindness.

Today, a client surprised me with these beautiful flowers after we worked through a challenging insurance audit together. Their thoughtfulness meant more than they probably realize.

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. Insurance isn’t just about policies and premiums. It’s about advocating for people, understanding the details, asking the right questions, and helping protect what they’ve worked so hard to build.

Thank you for your kindness and for trusting Iron Valley Insurance Group. It is truly an honor to serve our clients each and every day. 💙

I’d like to introduce the newest member of our team!

The next time you call our office, you may have the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Jackie. Jackie and I have been friends since 1996, and it has been such a joy to welcome her to our team.

She brings a caring heart, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to help our clients. I know you’ll enjoy getting to know her just as much as I have over the past 30 years.

Welcome to the team, Jackie! We’re so happy to have you with us.

This is an unfortunate situation. Would be interesting to know if it was engineered to support more than its original design?
