The Grant County Farm Bureau Ag Student of the Month for May is Miley McGinley. Miley is a 16-year-old sophomore at Sheridan High School and has been actively involved in 4-H for 11 years. Her primary 4-H project area is Healthy Living, where she enjoys encouraging healthy habits and positive lifestyles among youth. She is also a member of the Sheridan High School soccer team.
Miley is a member of the Grant County 4-H Teen Leaders Club and was recognized in 2024 as an Arkansas 4-H Teen Star. She has also served as 4-H State Camp Counselor and participated in the 4-H poultry chain and broiler projects at the Grant County Fair.
In addition to her school and 4-H involvement, Miley is an active member of the Harmony Baptist Church Youth Group. She has served as a Camp Counselor at Boggs Springs Kidz Camp and participated in Love on Laytayette and City Reach mission Trips.
Miley also enjoys photography and videography and is exploring marketing as potential future career path. Please join us in congratulating her.

The Grant County Farm Bureau Ag Student of the Month for April is Harper Gillis. Harper is the 17 year old son of Kelly and Bryan Gillis of Redfield. Harper is a senior at Sheridan High School. He is enrolled in the SHS Animal Systems Pathway and is part of our Career Practicum in Ag program, where he spends 3 classes a day working in the agriculture industry for high school credit. Harper is also on the SHS Golf Team. After graduation, Harper plans to attend Pulaski Tech, majoring in Construction Management. Please join us in congratulating him.

The Grant County Farm Bureau Ag Student for the Month of March is Chelsey Spann. She is the 15-year-old daughter of Kayla Stratton of Grapevine. Chelsey is a freshman at Sheridan High School. She is a 1st year member of the Sheridan FFA chapter. Chesley competed in the fall in FFA Creed Speaking and is currently a competitive member of the Horse Evaluation CDE team.
Chelsey is also a member of the SHS FFA Rodeo Team, Arkansas Barrell Racer Association, and Mid-State Horse Show Association. She is the reigning Little Miss Grant County Rodeo Queen. Chelsey also runs track for Sheridan High School. Please join us in congratulating her.

The Grant County Farm Bureau Ag Student for the Month of February is Truitt Shaw. Truitt is a 13-year-old, seventh grade homeschool student who has been actively involved in 4-H since the age of five. He is a member of both the Yellowjacket 4-H Club and the Tech Changemaker Club, where he enjoys combining agriculture, technology, and creativity.
At home, Truitt helps care for his Nigerian dwarf goats and chickens, gaining hands-on experience in animal care and responsibility. He is known for being dependable and willing to help, especially when working with animals and completing long-term projects.
In addition to his agricultural interests, Truitt is a talented young animator and runs his own YouTube channel, where he creates and shares original animated content. He enjoys using technology and animation as a creative way to tell stories and share ideas with people of all ages.
Having been involved in 4-H for eight years, Truitt has developed strong teamwork and leadership skills, and he looks forward to continuing to explore how agriculture and technology can work together in his future. Please join us in congratulating him.
