Here are a few public service announcements that might be helpful to know for those hesitant to ever change your existing coverage.
* Drug plan premium costs can vary greatly and so can their copays for the prescriptions they cover. Just because it worked well this year, doesn’t mean it will next year.
* For those with Aetna MA’s, please be aware the older advantage plans are ending and a new plans need to be selected for continuing coverage.
* For those with Medicare advantage plans that are leaving the market, and would prefer the stability Original Medicare has to offer, set an appointment and bring your annual notice of change.
The healthcare market is confusing, but I’m happy to help in any way I can and my services are free to you.

A few key takeaways:
1. The doughnut hole in drug plans is going away.
2. There will be a payment plan option that fits people who will spend a lot on their prescription. (Only enroll if your pharmacist thinks you will benefit from it)
3. Insurance companies have made adjustments to their plans that need to be reviewed. (Both drug plans and MA plans!)
▪️ There are a lot of drug plans available with premiums from $0 to $1XX. More expensive doesn’t necessarily mean it fits your prescriptions or will better your situation.
▪️What prescriptions a policy covers are changing. Especially for higher tier prescriptions.
4. Beneficiaries “the consumer” should have received an annual notice of change in September. It can be beneficial to review it with a professional.
