Katherine Gallagher, Senior Vice President and Co-Head of U.S. Equities, was featured in a Barron's article last week, discussing how we’re viewing bonds in the current rate environment and the implications for short-term and long-term financial goals.

As Treasury yields climb, clients might question the impact on the bond side of their portfolios.

"The important thing to remember is that the range of outcomes for bonds is much narrower than for stocks,” Katherine shared. “Even though you may see losses in your bond portion of your balanced portfolio, it's still going to be a lot narrower than for equities, and that shouldn't be an issue for long-term goals."

Back-to-school season is the perfect time to revisit how your family is funding college.

College costs continue to climb and the earlier a plan is in place, the more room there is for compounding and flexibility to work in your favor. Whether your family is still young, or you have kids heading off to college soon, small, consistent steps now can help close the gap later.

In this clip, Prasad Oak, CFP®, Vice President & Private Wealth Advisor at Procyon, shares the strategies he has seen work best for families.

✔️ Tax refunds, redirecting funds into a 529.
✔️ Bonuses & stock options, depositing a lump-sum.
✔️ Family gifting, birthdays, holidays, and generational gifting strategies
✔️ Regular monthly investing, the most important piece, because it can be automated and consistent

Our co-founder and CEO Phil Fiore, CIMA®, CRPC® was featured in Wealth Management's 2026 Midyear Outlook, contributing an article titled "Building Family Office Capabilities for the Middle Market" that discusses what it will take for advisors to close the service gap for this underserved group of clients.

For decades, family office services were seen as something only the ultra-wealthy could access, largely because scale was required to make the model work. Phil's piece challenges that assumption, pointing to a shift where comprehensive, integrated wealth management is becoming accessible to a much wider range of clients, not just those at the very top.

When asked about what's driving the shift, Phil pointed to something that's often overlooked:

"The most valuable thing AI is giving advisory teams is not analytical firepower. It is time. That recaptured time flows directly into client relationships, making comprehensive service delivery scalable at wealth levels that once fell short of traditional family office minimums."

Stocks are performing well this week thanks to a strong second
quarter earnings season, Our Head of US Equities and Senior Vice President Massimo Santicchia told , but there’s a “tension” in the market with higher yields inducing a higher cost of capital. Read our latest analysis highlights in this month's Global Equity Outlook report.

Massimo Santicchia, Head of US Equities & Senior Vice President, breaks down the Goldilocks backdrop shaping global equity markets this month, and the shift in positioning it calls for.

→ Growth is accelerating while inflation cools
→ Corporate earnings continue to beat expectations
→ Higher rates are raising the bar for valuations
→ Steadier, reasonably priced companies are favored over the most volatile names

"Something genuinely encouraging happened in the economy this month, and something less encouraging happened in the bond market. Both matter, and they point in opposite directions... The economy improved. But the price investors are being asked to pay for future growth became more demanding."

"Can I keep working after I start collecting benefits?"

In our recent webinar, Social Security Planning: Maximize Your Benefits, Andy Leung, MBA, CFP®, Vice President, Private Wealth Advisor at Procyon, tackled this important question and more. He discussed the earnings test.

If you claim before your Full Retirement Age and keep working, Social Security will temporarily withhold part of your benefit once your income crosses a certain threshold. It surprises a lot of people, including high earners.

The good news is, that money isn't gone. It comes back to you later through a recalculated benefit. When planning for social security income, it's important to make considerations for rules like these, and avoid being caught off guard by a smaller check.

If you're weighing when to claim, or already working while collecting, it might be worth a conversation. Reach out to our team at the link below!
