WOW Story: A first membership is more than opening an account, it’s the beginning of a financial journey.

Recently, a family visited our Port Orchard branch to help their adult granddaughter become a Peninsula Credit Union member. Matt had worked with the family before, and they wanted her to experience the same trusted support as she started building her own financial future.

Matt helped guide her through opening her membership, establishing a Visa account, and learning about options available through our First-Time Auto Buyer Program.

Moments like this are why we do what we do. We’re honored to support members through every stage of life — from first accounts to major milestones and everything in between.

The PCU crew had a blast at this year’s Mason County Forest Festival parade! 🍋🌲

We loved handing out candy, serving up cold lemonade, and seeing so many smiling faces along the parade route. And of course, Penny made an appearance — because what’s a parade without Penny?

Did you get a photo with Penny? Drop it in the comments below! 🐾

🎡 Forest Festival carnival hours have been posted! Enjoy the carousel, the zipper, and more. Our ATMs on Railroad Ave and in our drive up are ready for all who might need some extra pocket money, and our team in the Shelton branch is happy to assist credit union members within the shared branching network.

Be safe, have fun, and we'll see you on Saturday during the Paul Bunyan parade! Don't forget to visit our lemonade stand on Saturday. 🍋

🎡 The CARNIVAL will reopen at 5:00pm this evening!
Since Monday was a wash (literally), they'll be adding tonight in addition to the rest of the regularly scheduled Forest Festival days. ✨

We had a bloomin’ good time at the Port Townsend Rhododendron Festival Parade! 🌸💚

Our Peninsula team was excited to roll through the parade in the PCU-mobile with Penny, our favorite Scottie mascot, spreading smiles, waving to the crowd, and handing out Scottie Bucks to help get kids excited about saving.

Thank you, Port Townsend, for such a fun community celebration. We loved being part of it!

We were proud to host last night’s After Hours event at our Shelton branch in partnership with the Shelton-Mason County Chamber of Commerce.

The evening brought together local business leaders, community partners, members, and friends for great conversation, delicious food from FromYola, and meet & greets with the Mason County Forest Festival Royalty Court!

Our CEO, Jim, spoke about our ongoing commitment to community involvement, as well as our upcoming new digital banking experience – designed to better support members in the way they manage their financial lives.

Our onsite trainer from Corelation Inc., Brian, was even there! Brian has been hanging out with us for the last two weeks as we're learning the ins and outs of our upcoming new system.

We also enjoyed celebrating local businesses through raffle prizes from area restaurants and a grand “Get Summer Ready” giveaway basket.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! Strong communities are built through connection, and we’re grateful to be part of that work.
