With all the wildlife visiting Middle Tennessee, we wanted to take this opportunity to talk about a couple little things….
1st, welcome our newest associate, Z B Ra. He’s a great animal insurance expert, with 6 years experience with exotic pets, including things such as zebras, snakes, foxes, and others! Let’s give him a big welcome!!!
2nd, we all hear about comp and collision coverage, “full coverage”, and physical damage coverage. Did you know that hitting an animal, wild or domesticated, would go under your comprehensive coverage? This would be subject to a deductible, but it’s not weighted the same as if you hit a light pole or another vehicle. A Liability Only policy would not cover such damage. Comprehensive coverage is generally fairly inexpensive compared to Collision Coverage, which would cover hitting a light pole or other vehicle, and is independent in most policies. Ask your agent today if you have comprehensive coverage on your vehicles! The difference between paying a deductible and paying for full repair costs is always worth the conversation, at minimum.
