Mortgage Obsession

Since 2013, I’ve been obsessed with the real estate and mortgage industry.

While earning my Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Management, I began an internship at Quicken Loans that changed my professional direction permanently. This is where I learned the basics of setting up mortgages for underwriting and learning about the basic document requirements. I excelled quickly and had the desire to learn more. After a short couple months, I was hired on full time as a Quality Assurance Analyst where I further increased my understanding of what’s required while applying for a mortgage.

Next, I decided I have to see the other side! To familiarize myself with the end result I wanted to learn about who is applying. Real Living Kee Realty guided me through the beginning of obtaining my real estate license and becoming a REALTOR®. I got to work with some of the top agents in Macomb, Wayne, and Oakland counties! I loved working with clients and helping them find their dream homes! Nothing is better than helping someone, a couple, or a family receive their keys! Yet, I still wanted to learn more about the mortgage Process to better help my future real estate clients.

What better way can you learn about mortgages other than becoming an underwriter?! United Wholesale Mortgage provided me with amazing training and a priceless mortgage education. Not only do I an idea of what to ask for, I can help streamline the process by addressing issues with documents ahead of time to assist your mortgage broker and quickly closing your loan. Being an underwriter teaches you how to assess the risk of lending and what to look for when choosing a property.

UWM also gave me the opportunity to work with brokers directly through underwriting and as an Account Executive. I personally helped my clients (mortgage brokers) run loan scenarios, rates and pricing, and decide on what product options are available. I’m an expert at researching guidelines and being helpful in many ways!

Finally, I am now a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO)! After gaining experience of the entire loan process from beginning to end, I made the move! All the steps I’ve taken thus far have led me to my true passion; mortgages and helping my clients get into their homes and/or help their financial position. I offer the best process, total experience, and array of different products and rates. In comparison to a bank, I have access to multiple wholesale lenders who offer different products and pricing so I can provide the best rate and situation for each client. Banks can only offer what their specific bank offers, if you don’t fit into their box they turn you away. Independent MLO’s have the ability to shop multiple lenders to fit YOUR needs.

You can say I am obsessed and love the industry! The more I learn, the more I can provide the BEST experience for my clients. This industry is always changing, and I will continue to change and educate myself for my clients, friends, and family.
