As the colder months approach, Family Service Association is coming together to help provide warmth, comfort, and essential necessities to individuals and families in need throughout our community.

We're currently collecting blankets, socks, and underwear to help support those who may be facing difficult circumstances.

We believe that even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference. By coming together, we can help provide comfort, dignity, and care to those who need it most.

A huge thank you to Raise-Rite!

We want to give a special shoutout to Raise-Rite for doing a wonderful job on our sidewalk here at Family Service Association!

We truly appreciate the time and hard work they put into making our sidewalk safer and more accessible for our staff, clients, and everyone who visits us.

It's the dedication and hard work of local businesses like Raise-Rite that help make our community a better place. We're grateful to be part of a community where we can come together, support one another, and make a positive difference, no matter how big or small!

A great day of learning and connection!

Members of our team had the opportunity to attend the WGA 2026 Fall Educational Conference in Amherst, WI! It was a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect with others in the field, and bring back new knowledge and ideas that will help us continue supporting the individuals and families we serve.
We’re grateful for opportunities like these that allow our staff to continue growing professionally while connecting with others who share a commitment to serving our communities.

Understanding homelessness is an important step toward creating meaningful change in our community.
Homelessness is a complex issue that can affect individuals and families for many different reasons. By taking the time to learn, listen, and better understand the challenges people face, we can begin to identify ways to support our neighbors and strengthen our community.
We encourage our community to join the Sheboygan County Warming Center for a screening of Beyond the Bridge: A Solution to Homelessness on October 22 at 6:00 PM at the Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts.
Change starts with awareness, conversation, and a willingness to work together. ❤️

Homelessness and housing instability are growing challenges in our community. While many dedicated people and organizations are already working together to support our neighbors, there’s an opportunity to strengthen that coordination and build an even more connected community response.

🏡 Wednesday Spotlight: Habitat for Humanity Lakeside 🏡

This week, we’re highlighting one of our closest nonprofit neighbors, Habitat for Humanity Lakeside… and we mean literally close. Their office and ReStore are right across the street from us! 💚

Habitat for Humanity Lakeside does incredible work helping individuals and families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

And here’s a fun connection you may not know: when individuals apply for Habitat’s homeownership program, they come through Family Service Association for HUD-approved housing counseling as part of their journey toward becoming successful homeowners.

We love being able to work alongside organizations like Habitat Lakeside that are investing in long-term stability and stronger communities, one household at a time.

We had such a great time at Fallooza in Plymouth this past Saturday!

Family Service Association was happy to join the festivities as a vendor and spend the day connecting with members of the Plymouth community. It was wonderful seeing so many families and local nonprofit organizations come together for such a fun fall event!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello, learn more about the services we offer, and spend some time with us. We’re always grateful for opportunities to get out into the community and connect with the people we serve.

Thank you, Plymouth, for having us! We had a wonderful time and look forward to more community events like this in the future.

What a fun and successful Staff Development Day!
Our team had a day filled with learning, laughter, connection, and reflection. We’re especially grateful to have had Ken King join us and share his time, stories, and the history behind Family Service Association. His humor, passion, and dedication to FSA made the experience even more meaningful and reminded us of the incredible foundation our organization continues to build upon.

Thank you, Ken, for spending the day with us, and thank you to our amazing staff for making Staff Development Day such a success! We left feeling inspired and excited to continue serving our community. ❤️
