Looking for a great way to volunteer and get involved with a great group helping beautify our city? Join the Sharon Beautification Commission's annual 'Earth Day' Neighborhood Cleanup Day!

Join the group on Wednesday, April 22 from 5 to 7pm, starting at Daffin's Candies east side parking lot at 469 E State St. Free T-Shirts will be available to all volunteers. All supplies: water, gloves, and garbage bags provided. See you there!

Additionally, TONIGHT, Monday evening, April 13th, from 5 to 7pm, our Monday Night's Cleanup crew will get started on litter detail on the city's south side. We will meet at the Musser Elementary School parking lot. There is a lot of 'winter litter' this year! Supplies will be provided.

Another volunteer workday to mark on your calendar is, Saturday, May 2nd! SBC will be conducting a Spring Workday at River Gardens Park from 9am to Noon. Work includes weeding, mulching, edging, trimming, planting, and other assorted upkeep. Tools and work gloves will be provided. Lunch afterwards will be served.

The Community Action Partnership of Mercer County (CAPMC) is conducting a Community Needs Assessment to better understand the challenges, service gaps, and emerging needs affecting low-income individuals and families throughout Mercer County. This assessment is part of CAPMC's ongoing planning efforts and a requirement for Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
Your responses will help inform program development, funding priorities, and collaborative strategies to strengthen services and reduce poverty in our community. All responses will be kept confidential and reported only in aggregate.

HopeCAT is proud to contribute a ceramic sculpture—designed by ceramics instructor Christian Kuharik and brought to life with help from our youth artists—to the Studio 83 Community Garden in Sharon.

Each hand-built element tells a story of creativity, collaboration, and the power of public art to transform spaces and bring people together.
