🚛 The Jersey Girls’ Pre-Trip Challenge — Part 3!

A strong pre-trip goes beyond tires and brakes. Marie and Kiera are checking the tractor chassis—including the fuel tank, battery box, steps, frame, exhaust, air lines and electrical connection.

Every component needs to be properly mounted, connected and secure before the tanker hits the road. If something doesn’t look right, the truck doesn’t move. It really is that simple.

Next up: the fifth wheel and coupling!

Educational overview only. Always follow your CDL training, company procedures and equipment-specific inspection checklist.

🚛 The Jersey Girls’ Pre-Trip Challenge — Part 2!

A quick tire kick doesn’t count as an inspection. Marie and Kiera are checking tire condition and inflation, rims, lug nuts, suspension and brake components before that tanker moves an inch.

Small problems spotted during a pre-trip can prevent big problems on the road. No shortcuts—safety always comes first.

Educational overview only. Always follow your CDL training, company procedures and equipment-specific inspection checklist.

Industry Facts Friday

FACT: A tank trailer's compartment configuration can have a direct impact on your operation's efficiency and your bottom line!

It's easy to focus on total gallon capacity, but how that capacity is divided can be just as important.

For example, a multi-compartment trailer allows a carrier to haul different products or deliver varying quantities to multiple customers in a single trip. That can help:

â–Ş Reduce empty miles
â–Ş Eliminate the need for multiple trailers
â–Ş Improve route efficiency
â–Ş Increase revenue per load
â–Ş Better serve customers with different delivery volumes

On the other hand, if your business regularly hauls a single product to one destination, a single-compartment trailer may be the more efficient choice by simplifying loading, unloading, and cleaning.

The "right" trailer isn't always the biggest one—it's the one that best fits your operation.

At Jersey Girl Logistics, we understand that every business has unique equipment needs. Whether you're hauling fuel, chemicals, food-grade products, or another bulk liquid, we're happy to help you explore leasing options that fit the way you work.

📩 Send us a message and tell us what you're hauling—we'd love to help you find the right solution.

đź’ˇ Lease vs. Buy: Which Option Makes More Sense for Your Business?

When your business needs another tank trailer, purchasing isn't always the best solution. Depending on your operation, leasing may provide the flexibility you need while preserving capital for other priorities.

Leasing may be a great option if you:
âś” Need equipment for a new contract or seasonal demand
âś” Want to preserve cash flow instead of making a large upfront investment
âś” Are waiting for a new trailer to be built or delivered
âś” Need temporary replacement equipment while another trailer is being repaired
âś” Want the flexibility to grow your fleet without a long-term commitment

Buying may be the better choice if you:
âś” Plan to use the same trailer for many years
âś” Have consistent, long-term hauling needs
âś” Prefer building equity in your equipment

Every operation is different, and there's no one-size-fits-all answer.

At Jersey Girl Logistics, we help businesses explore leasing options that fit their specific hauling needs. Whether you're looking for fuel, chemical, food-grade, asphalt, or another specialty tank trailer, we're happy to help you find the right equipment.

đź“© Not sure whether leasing is the right fit? Send us a message and tell us about your operation. We'd be happy to point you in the right direction. Always happy to help :)

đźš› Won a new contract? Waiting on new equipment? Need more chemical hauling capacity?

Sometimes buying another trailer isn't the right move.

Leasing can give you the flexibility to take on more work without the upfront investment of purchasing equipment.

• DOT 407 Stainless Steel Tank
• 7,000 Gallon Capacity
• Insulated
• In-Transit Heat
• Single Compartment
• Rear Discharge
• Air Ride Suspension

• Contract haulers
• Regional trucking companies
• Fleets needing temporary capacity while equipment is being repaired or replaced

If this trailer isn't exactly what you're looking for, don't stop here.

We work with a wide variety of tank trailer leasing options and may be able to help you find equipment that better fits your operation.

Fascinated by just how different everyone’s equipment needs can be depending on the season. As summer begins to wind down and fall moves in..

-What kind of trailer or equipment is hardest for you to find in this season? and why do you think that is?

-What challenges are you anticipating?

Would love to hear what everyone has observed :) Drop a comment?
