There are times when I don't feel like playing my guitar, drawing, writing songs or poems or small observations ... I won't even go into why I'm not actively working on "that book". All this inactivity is created (can you create a nothing?) by other activities or chores that hamper my creativity or just plain laziness. We all go through that. Well, we "creative types" do.
So, with that in mind, I just want to scream at the screen when FB tells me to write something or lose my "opportunity" to blather to those who stumble upon this page. I mean; I started this page out of good faith that I would always have something to say and keep up a running one-way conversation that you would find entertaining or enlightening. I say "enlightening" with all the humor I can muster. But, I get lazy and put off this self-ordained exercise while I watch hockey games, eat, feed squirrels and birds, or sleep. There's always a trade off.
Anyway, dear FB. I have done my duty and said something that is nothing. I have collected words and lined them up in some sort of order as I was taught in every English class I ever took. Please forgive my laziness and, if you can find it in your cold, computerized heart, allow me to skip a few more days before the next threat. OK?
I promise to be thinking of something important to say in the future. Your ole buddy, Mike.
