We try to tell Florida Renters this all the time, renting is a terrible option and compromise to buying if you have a choice. This story posted yesterday in Facebook tells it all. Florida is 10th highest rental state for cost in the country and increases 15-18% annually. Look at these numbers for just a two bedroom on what you have to earn to afford. We’ve been here before and this is nothing new. Mortgage rates have always fluctuated based on key economic factors and we’re not even as high today as we’ve been in other times. I’ve been in the industry 30 years and mostly sold rates in the higher brackets. Never let rates keep you from buying. Man oh Man we are fire right now!!!! Just pushed personally 1.8 million Dollars in subs to Processing for August, locked em up too, and my team of LO's has another 1.3 million to push today/tomorrow as well. Just wrapped up about another 700K in pre-approvals too and have several shoppers getting close to nailing down contracts too. Reach out, for anything mortgage related. We got you. The Florida Hometown Hero’s Program has begun funding as of Monday the 13th!!!! The 50 Million Dollar fund will start disbursing to eligible home buyers. Again, this is the premiere Down Payment Assistance Program in Florida, that gives 5% towards the closing, up to 35K and waives the two largest closing cost fee’s on the loan, Doc stamps and Intangible Tax. Most borrowers using this program along with attaining a seller's concession for closing costs, get into the home with little to nothing out of pocket. The fund will not last long though, you must get pre-approved now and get home shopping. It’s a very popular fund.
