DIG DEEP, TEAM!
The entire month of July our three SeaLyn locations are collecting food items to benefit TEN busy food banks up in Whatcom County.
55% (let me say that again) FIFTY-FIVE PERCENT of Whatcom County residents have trouble keeping their families fed.
The biggest needs at the food banks are for canned proteins and stews, dried beans, pastas and legumes.
Friday August 11th, we will drive all donated food goods to "Free Food Friday" at the Northwest Washington Fair!

THIS WEEKEND! SEATTLE PRIDE PARADE - Street Closings in and around downtown THIS SUNDAY, January 25, 2023.
Both Columbia Center and our 800 Fifth Avenue Ace Parking facilities will be open for parking.
DETAILS ON TIMES AND STREET CLOSINGS BELOW:
• Although they start marching at 11, lining up starts at 8:00am so street closures start very early.
• The parade officially begins at 11:00am and proceeds north on 4th Ave., from Pike St. to Denny Way. The marchers then turn left on Denny and continue west, disbanding at 2nd Ave.
• The stretch of 4th Ave. from Pike St. to Olive St. will close at 9:00am, and the stretch from Olive to Denny will be shut down at 10:30am. Once closed to thru traffic, the parade staging area and procession route will remain shut down until approx. 5:00pm.
• LENGTH OF PARADE: In recent years, the procession has taken about 3.5 hours to pass and finish.

We got to thinking... it's really never too early to be thinking (ok, dreaming) about sugar-coated funnel cakes, smokey Demolition Derbys, refreshing snow cones and cotton candy in all the colors... Fair Food is THE BEST!
Brown & Brown is proud to be sponsoring Food Drive Friday at the Northwest Washington Fair from 11am to 3pm on Friday, August 11th, 2023.
Four cans of food gets one person into the fair for FREE!
All the food we collect from fair-goers will help supply Whatcom County food banks. They work SO HARD assisting the over 55% of Whatcom County residents that struggle to keep food on their tables.
We are starting our NWWF Food Drive early in hopes of getting more folks into the fair and more folks fed than ever before!
We are collecting cans for the whole month of July at all our locations - bring your canned and nonperishable food items next time you're in - every donation makes a big difference to friends in need!

SeaLyn Volunteer Workday with SOWA Special Olympics Washington
Last Friday, we spent building Olympic Towne for the SOWA Spring Games and what a day we had! Great work performed inside and outside. We were lucky enough to have a bunch of Tacoma Office B&B Teammates join us, as well. It was a wonderful day of work for deserving organizers and their world-class athletes. Best yet... the Seattle rain let us work in peace!
