This trade was from last week!

Even though I was green on this trade I definitely made some mistakes and the biggest one was not following my gut!

Overall weekly target on $SPX was the 5100 as it bounced off of my lower trendline and it went straight to that level

There’s so many days when I have alot of things going on mentally and I know to stay away from trading or risk off. If your mind is not clear it will trickle into your trading.

Trade I took today on 2\/7
Was waiting for SPX to clear $4980 for calls and ES to break 5000 - NQ was breaking ATHs as well
Waited until we saw significant buying pressure stepping and entered , my final exit was because I saw sellers sitting at 5007 on BookMap with ES Overall clean trade and setup!
Entry 10:13 @ $9.50
Exits at 10:17, 10:18 & 10:26 Premium went to $12.10, $13.60 & $14.10
Hopefully everyone made some $$ today

A wick fill is similar to a gap fill! Usually when a stock starts filling a wick it tends to fill it all the way through depending on the size of the wick!

You want to make sure you set profit targets after entry as sometimes it can pull back at resistance and support levels while filling!

Always be mindful of what the overall market structure is showing you prior to taking any plays 🤞🏼

You should understand, as a trader, that your strategy doesn’t have to be understood by anyone else.
If what you are doing, have been backtested and implemented in the market and is working for you, don’t let anyone discourage you from utilizing that strategy!
Be confident in the knowledge you have as a trader, it will take you a long way 🤞🏼

Whatever your goals are, make sure you set aside time out of everyday to work towards them no matter what is going on in your life! At the end of the day you are the more permanent person in your life, put yourself first 🤍

This is how I select my strike prices 👇🏼
Firstly if you’re scalping I always trade ATM strikes when I’m scalping and from there will then look at which ATM strike has the highest open interest and volume & that is the strike I will pick!
More volume = liquidity & usually you will see the stock tends to move into those specific price points!
You can utilize this while you’re day trading or swing trading as well! Always pay attention to the OI&VOL on the strikes & these can also be utilize as profit targets on the ticker as well!
