The Existing Home Sales report for October, which measures closings in that month and likely represents buyers shopping for homes in August and September, increased 1.9%. Initial Jobless Claims showed that there were 227,000 individuals that filed for unemployment benefits for the first-time last week. This was unchanged from the previous week, which was revised higher by 2,000 from 225,000 to 227,000 and 10,000 higher than estimates of 217,000
