Seagoville Federal Credit Union We offer Savings, Checking, and Christmas Club accounts as well as a variety of loans including Vehicles, ATVs, Boats, RVs, Personal, Share Secured & more.

To join the Seagoville Federal Credit Union, the field of membership shall be limited to those having the following bond:

- employees of the US Department of Justice and US Public Health Service who work at the Federal Correctional Institution in Seagoville, Texas;

- permanent employees of the Post Office Department who work at the Seagoville Post Office;

- employees of the Texas Vocational Reh

abilitation Agency who work at the Federal Correctional Institution in Seagoville, Texas;

- civilian or military full time, permanent employees of the US Army Reserve in Seagoville, Texas;

- employees of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Consolidated Employee Services Center who work in or are paid or supervised from Grand Prairie, Texas;

- employees of the Federal Bureau of Prisons Designations and Sentence Computation Center who work in or are paid or supervised from Grand Prairie, Texas;

- employees of City of Seagoville, Texas who work in or are paid or supervised from Seagoville, Texas;

- employees of this credit union;

- spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union;

- persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment;

- members of their immediate families; and organizations of such persons

For the safety of our members and staff, the Annual Meeting originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026 has been postponed due to anticipated snow and icy conditions.

We’re aware that federal paychecks are reduced due to the government shutdown. If your paycheck is affected, you may skip your loan payment through our Government Shutdown Skip Program.

💡 Already made a payment? If you haven’t used your regular skip-a-payment this year, we can apply it retroactively and refund your last payment.

At Seagoville Federal Credit Union, we understand the challenges a federal government shutdown can bring—especially when it disrupts your paycheck and financial stability. If you are affected by the current shutdown, we want you to know that we’re here to support you.

Here's how we can help:

🔹 Loan Payment Skips – We will offer loan payment skips by pay period for members whose income is affected by the shutdown, beginning with the first affected paycheck. A government shutdown loan payment skip form will be needed for each pay period a loan payment is skipped.

🔹 Government Shutdown Relief Loans – During extended shutdowns, we also offer low-interest Government Shutdown Loans for eligible members with approved credit, up to a specified amount, to help bridge the financial gap.

🔹 Additional Support Options – We’re actively exploring more ways to assist our members during this time. If you're impacted, please reach out to us directly so we can work with you on a personalized plan.

Planning a cruise?? Going abroad for vacation??

There are some things to keep in mind when planning...

1. It is helpful to let us know when travelling so we can place a "travel notification" on your debit card(s). This will allow our fraud monitoring services to know where you are planning to travel in case any transactions trigger a fraud alert. If the transaction falls within the travel parameters listed, there SHOULD be no disruptions in card usage. This is not ALWAYS the case, however, it does help in most instances.

2. It has recently come to our attention that members travelling with Carnival Cruise Line have not been able to use their debit card to secure their open tab for cabin charges. If you are planning to take a cruise with Carnival (or any other cruise line) it is best to take cash to pay towards your account and/or use a credit card specifically for this.

3. When travelling abroad, your VISA debit card should typically work in other countries with an additional foreign transaction fee. However, occasionally members have encountered issues when travelling internationally. It is always a good idea to have a credit card or cash on hand in case an issue arises.
