**One of the most overlooked things in a life insurance policy? The beneficiary form.**
People spend time picking the right coverage amount, comparing rates, doing everything right — and then name a beneficiary once and never look at it again. Years pass. Marriages, divorces, kids, grandkids. The policy never gets updated.
Here's the thing: that beneficiary form overrides your will. It doesn't matter what your will says. Whoever's listed on that form gets the money.
I'd encourage you to pull out your policy this week or call the company if you can't find it and just confirm who's listed. It takes about 10 minutes, and it matters more than most people realize.
If you have questions about what you find, feel free to reach out.
Who's listed on yours — do you even remember?
