A smooth transition into your new home doesn’t end at closing. A few simple steps can help you stay organized and avoid surprises later.

Consider creating a Home Management Binder for:

🔑 Closing and mortgage documents
🏡 Homeowners insurance
🛠️ Home warranty information
📋 Inspection reports
🧾 Important receipts and home improvement records
💡 Utility and service information

And don’t forget your new mortgage! Once your loan has transferred to its new servicer:

✅ Set up your online account and automatic mortgage payment
✅ Confirm your first payment due date
✅ Review the escrow amounts for property taxes and homeowners insurance
✅ Compare those amounts with your Final Settlement Statement to make sure everything looks correct

A successful home purchase isn’t just about getting to the closing table. It’s about being prepared for successful homeownership after you receive the keys, too. ❤️🏡
