One of the biggest myths I hear is:

Today, October 5, we celebrate World Teacher Day. This is a day to honor the educators who guided us and who transform our communities week after week, year after year. 🍎✨ Do this now: take a moment to remember the great teachers who shaped your life. Drop their names in the comments, and better yet, drop them a personal note if you can track them down. Let them know they made a difference.

Great teachers do so much more than deliver curriculum. They spark curiosity, build confidence, and create safe spaces where young people discover who they are and what they're capable of. They mentor, encourage, listen, and go way beyond their job description to support their students.

World Teacher Day was established by UNESCO in 1994 to serve as a reminder that the dedicated professionals who form the backbone of education are the foundation of our future.
To every teacher out there: thank you for every invisible battle you fight, for every heroic win that no one sees except you and that student. Thank you for seeing the potential in your students, even when others have given up, for believing in them when they doubt themselves, and for the countless ways you work for the betterment of the world. 🙌

I posted a few days ago about the DAC benefit and AHCCCS policy. After a bit of back and forth, there is an update! You do NOT have to apply for SSI before 22. From AHCCCS, “I reviewed the federal citations and the person must have been determined disabled before age 22 and been found eligible for SSI Cash on the basis of that disability. There is no requirement that the approval must occur before their 22nd birthday.”
