October is officially spooky season. 👻

But confusing insurance? That doesn't have to be part of the theme.

Between deductibles, limits, exclusions, and all the terminology that can make your eyes glaze over, it's understandable to have questions.

That's exactly why I believe in explaining things in plain language and making room for questions.

There are certain things you don't see when you're on the customer side of the phone.

The quick conversations between team members. Someone stepping in to help with a question. The follow-up that happens after a customer conversation. The little moments that keep things moving.

That's the rhythm of our office.

Your home may look a little different than it did when you first insured it.

Maybe you've remodeled the kitchen. Added a room. Built a pool. Purchased new belongings. Or made other improvements over the years.

Those changes can be a good reason to revisit your policy and make sure your agent knows what's changed.

You don't have to wait until renewal to ask questions.

Sometimes a quick check-in is all it takes to make sure your agent has the current picture.

There's no magic number that works for everyone when it comes to life insurance.

Your household, income, financial responsibilities, and long-term goals all play a role in determining what makes sense for you.

That's why I don't believe in starting with a number and working backward.

Start with your situation. Then look at the options.

There are the customer questions, the behind-the-scenes details, the follow-ups, the problem-solving, and all the little things that keep an agency moving.

No one person does it all.

That's what makes teamwork so important, and I'm grateful for the people who bring their own strengths to ours every day.

Customers. Employees. Inventory. Equipment. Contracts. Cash flow. The list goes on.

Insurance may not be the first thing on your mind when you're busy building the business, but it deserves a place on the list.

Your coverage should reflect how your business actually operates today, not necessarily how it looked when you first opened the doors.

If your business has grown or changed, it may be worth taking another look.

Not just renewed them. Actually looked at them.

A lot can happen between one renewal and the next. Maybe you've made improvements to your home, added a vehicle, welcomed a new driver, or simply have questions about what you're currently carrying.

A policy review is a chance to step back, look at what's changed, and make sure your coverage still makes sense for your situation.

Sometimes nothing needs to change.

Sometimes a few updates are worth discussing.

Either way, knowing where you stand is valuable.
