Brian began his mortgage career as a mortgage loan officer in 1992 straight out of college. He worked for two large national mortgage banking companies and a large mortgage brokerage before co-founding and serving as President of Antigua Capital Funding from 1999 to 2010. Brian joined Skyline Home Loans as a Branch Manager because he was looking for a company that was forward thinking and works to

put the power of home ownership back in the hands of the consumer by providing the products, technology, great rates, and incredible service that his clients want and deserve. Finance of America acquired Skyline and has expanded the financial stability and options available to help our clients manage their debt and build wealth for their future. As a veteran loan officer, Brian has committed himself to listening to his clients and providing them with the financing solution that best serves their needs. By educating his clients on the process and setting the proper expectations, Brian's clients are never subjected to those horror story surprises that so many people have unfortunately had in past with other mortgage companies. Always putting his clients' needs and best interests first is Brian's top priority and what has made his business nearly 100% referral based for the last two decades. Brian's son, Evan, has been working with Brian since 2014 and is a Loan Partner on The Cardenas Team. Brian has been married to his wife Dina since 1992 and is a devoted father to his son Evan and daughter Cassandra. Brian's family lives in Cave Creek and enjoys movies, dinners out, the beach, golfing, and going to Suns, Cardinals, and Diamondback games. It's so gratifying when we get a very nice review from our clients. This really captures what I try to do - take the unique circumstances of each client and craft a solution that gets them the best loan for them. We'll have multiple calls, send video explanations, and be very accessible so that each person can feel that their experience when buying a home is important to us.

Coaching Works! One of the unique things about UMortgage Team is the internal coaching program we have called Level Up Coaching. Professional athletes, performers, and most executives who are at the top of their professions continue to get coaching. Yet, so often in the real estate and mortgage business, people don't get coaching. I've been in several different coaching programs and I've learned and improved from every one of them. Even after doing loans for 29 years, I'm still learning and getting better and the numbers prove it. Already, this year my production has doubled from last year. No doubt, last year was rough and many have exited the business. I'm smart enough to know that I don't know how to do anything else and I still love helping people in my own way, so I choose to keep working at getting better at my craft. I then take what I've learned and try to create an environment of growth for real estate agents with our accountability group Domination Nation. The Fed Cute the Fed Funds rate by 0.5% at 2pm ET today. What did it do to mortgage rates? NOTHING. The purple line is mortgage backed security prices at the opening of the market. Pretty much back to where we started. BUT, rates have been lowering for weeks, so don't wait to buy or check into refinancing. But, refinancing may not be the right time just yet if rates keep coming down. Make sure to get an honest review considering all the costs before getting sucked in my a low rate and payment. Let's get rid of the myths about VA Loans and make sure that our vets get an equal opportunity to buy a home with the benefit they've earned by risking everything in the service of others.

VA appraisals can be quick, clean, and above the sales price just like every other loan type. They just happen to have the BEST process to deal with low appraisals and repair conditions compared to every other loan type.

Today is my 2 year anniversary of making the move back to the mortgage broker world with . Yes, I moved my license on National Mortgage Brokers Day. As we get older it's easier to remember anniversaries if they're tied to another day. 🤣

I knew I could offer more choices and better rates to my clients by being a broker, but what I didn't fully realize is how aligned a company could be with my professional values.
