According to a recent survey, the Indexed Annuity Leadership Council reports that 76% of respondents say protecting their retirement nest egg/account from loss is important. 77% say it’s important that they don’t outlive their income in retirement and 50% say it’s very important.

The U.S. has a serious retirement readiness problem on its hands.

According to the National Retirement Risk Index released by the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College about half of the nation’s working-age households will not be able to maintain their standard of living when they retire—even if they work to age 65, make good decisions about Social Security and annuitize all their assets.

According to an April 2023 report from the Insured Retirement Institute, about nine in 10 advisors believe their clients are open to discussing annuities (as compared to 71 percent holding this belief in 2015), and that their clients are better off financially because they own annuities.

The results are in! FIA sales had a record-breaking first quarter with sales at $23.1 billion, up 42% from first quarter 2022 results and 4% higher than the record set in the fourth quarter of 2022.
