By WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - Landlords have ramped up rents by the fastest pace in six years, with national vacancy rates the lowest in two decades, according to government data. Annual rent inflation hit 3.5% in November - the hottest growth since November 2008 - up from 3.3% in October, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday.

It is important to know that the new guidelines for USDA now require the borrower to have a min of 3 historical trade line that have existed for a min of 12 months to establish a reputable credit score. Keep in mind, even if you receive a GUS approval, you are still required to meet the min trade line requirements.

In the event your borrower does not meet the min trade line requirements, you can develop nontraditional credit and the loan will be downgraded to a manual underwrite and will be subject to all manual underwriting guidelines.
