Starting January 1, 2026, a new rule takes effect for 401(k) savers age 50 and older making catch-up contributions.

If your wages from your employer were over $145,000 in the prior year (a threshold that will adjust annually for inflation), your catch-up contributions must be made as Roth contributions—meaning you won’t receive a tax deduction up front.

That means:

You'll pay taxes on the contribution now.
But your growth and qualified withdrawals in retirement will be tax-free.

This June, Johanna celebrated three years with Relevé Financial Group and nearly 15 years in the banking and financial services industry!

As a Client Service Associate, she’s one of the friendly, reliable voices our clients hear regularly, and it’s no surprise that her favorite part of the job is building relationships both with our clients and our team.

At her core, Johanna values connection, play, security, integrity, and freedom and those values shape how she shows up every day, both personally and professionally.

When she’s not at work, life is full with her twin 9-year-olds (she says being a mom is “the most fun”). In her downtime, she’s a big fan of concerts, podcasts, audiobooks, and a strong cup of coffee.

We’re lucky to have Johanna on the team she brings heart, humor, and a whole lot of care to everything she does.
