The New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association (NYSHTA) represents more
than 1,000 hospitality members across New York State, helping operators stay
informed, prepared, and connected.
Two key areas of focus are advocacy and education. NYSHTA gives hospitality
operators a unified voice on legislative and regulatory issues while providing events,
educational programming, and industry insights to help members navigate an
evolving business environment.
With rising operating costs continuing to challenge businesses, the association is
focused on issues that directly impact hospitality operators including legislation
addressing credit card swipe fees and how sales tax and gratuities are treated in
interchange fee calculations.
This year, NYSHTA is also focused on advancing legislation related to credit card
swipe fees, with the goal of addressing how sales tax and gratuities are treated when
interchange fees are calculated.
There’s also a busy fall ahead, including the 2026 Hospitality Summit at Turning
Stone, October 25–26, along with legislative networking receptions taking place
throughout New York.
We’re proud to highlight NYSHTA and the work they’re doing to support hospitality
businesses across New York.
