Scottsboro Lion's Club

Scottsboro Lion's Club The Scottsboro Lions Club is a member of Lions International. We serve Scottsboro and Jackson Co AL The Scottsboro Lions Club was chartered on August 5, 1938.

Charter President Robert Word said these words before installing officers and welcoming new members. "The thought that a person can not get very far without doing something for his less fortunate fellow man was the theme of the formation of our great Lions International Association. The man who expressed this thought and who insisted our motto must be "We Serve" was our great and beloved founder,

Melvin Jones." It is our belief that a greater bond than friendship or financial gain is necessary to unite men and women from all parts of the world into a lasting and ever growing service organization. Our motto "We Serve" goes beyond economic, racial and national boundaries based on the desire of all of us to help others.
