Scott Lions Club BBQ Is Back!

As a proud member of the Scott Lions Club, I’m excited to help spread the word about our Annual Bar-B-Que Dinner!

This is one of our club’s largest fundraisers of the year, supporting local community projects, the Louisiana Eye Foundation, and the Louisiana Lions Camp. It’s a great example of what happens when local businesses, volunteers, and neighbors come together for a good cause!

This week we celebrated our 3rd Quarter Above and Beyond Award! Congratulations to Jessica Citizen!

Our office has been placing a special focus on serving our customers. We created an award recognizing our team members who go above and beyond the call of duty to serve our customers and community. Today, we want to recognize Jessica for her efforts to make our customers feel like they are our first and only priority. Jessica has shown that even little acts of service can make a big difference in someone’s life. Congratulations, Jessica!

I went to visit my friend and fellow State Farm agent, Iggie Castille, this week and somehow managed to show up on his 86th birthday! And let me tell you, they just don’t make ’em like Iggie anymore! 😂

86 years young, 45 years as a State Farm agent, and still quite the character!

If you know Iggie, you know exactly what I’m talking about. He’s always greeting me with his famous line, “Brian, my champion!” Never a dull moment with him!

Of course, I didn’t have a birthday card, so he got a Valentine’s Day card instead. Close enough, right? 🤣

And just wait until you hear him play the harmonica and sing himself Happy Birthday!

All this to say, Happy 86th birthday, Iggie! You’re truly one of a kind!

BEST TEAM AROUND! 💙

For the 9th year, the Brian Schlesinger State Farm team was proud to show up for the Maddie’s Footprints Footprints Forever 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run!

We missed the group picture this year, but our team showed up and ran their hearts out! Even with an injury keeping Brian out of the 5K, the boss still made it through the 1-mile and had a great time!

What Lori McGrew and Maddie’s Footprints have built is truly incredible. Their organization has forever changed the lives of families throughout Acadiana by providing support during the unimaginable loss of a baby. We are so proud to support their mission year after year.
