Today, we’re shining a light on Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD). 💚

September 30 is LGMD Awareness Day, a global effort to increase understanding of these rare neuromuscular diseases and support the individuals and families living with them.

There are many ways to help,whether that's learning more, sharing information, supporting research, connecting someone with resources or making a donation.

Fall Shred-It Day is Almost Here!

Protect your personal information and clear out those old documents!

Join us Saturday, October 3, from 10 AM–12 PM at our East Chicago office for FREE community shredding!

While you're here, help us give back! We’ll also be accepting donations for our Fall Food Drive benefiting the Food Bank of NWI. Donations are not required, but highly encouraged!

A few Shredding Do's and Don'ts:
✅ DO bring: Paper, small paper clips, file folders & staples
❌ DON’T bring: Checkbooks (checks have to be torn out of the checkbooks), books/magazines, CDs/DVDs, floppy disks, batteries, plastic, cardboard or trash materials

Any items deemed not suitable for the shred truck will be returned to you.

⚡ Weatherhead Repair Assistance Program

Did recent storms damage your home's electrical weatherhead? Legacy Foundation, CoAction.Care, NiSource Charitable Foundation, and NIPSCO are partnering to help eligible homeowners safely restore electrical service—with no household income requirements to participate!

Who is eligible?

-Homeowners in Gary, Dyer, Griffith, Merrillville, or unincorporated Lake County (primary residence only).

-Homes currently without power with storm-damaged weatherheads that haven't been repaired yet.

-Received a NIPSCO notice tag regarding weatherhead damage.

-Site clear of trees/debris blocking access to the weatherhead.

-Agree to work with a assigned participating electrician.

Member Notice: Starting tomorrow, construction is taking place on Trenta Court, the street directly outside our Schererville branch.

During construction, you may notice:
• Temporary changes to traffic lanes
• Different entrances and exits
• Changes to the way you enter or leave our parking lot

Please follow posted signs and allow a little extra time when visiting us. The construction will take place for the remainder of the week.
