Part of my job is it to make sure I pick a plan for my clients that has the best drug coverage for their specific prescription medications. But sometimes the out-of-pocket cost for a drug is much cheaper NOT USING your drug plan. Sometimes it makes more sense to use a discount card like Good Rx or use this website.

This means you have a 6-month window to sign up for a supplement without having to worry about being denied because of your health history. You do not want to miss this window!

Under federal law, you get a 6 month “Medigap Open Enrollment” period. It starts the first month you have Medicare Part B and you’re 65 or older.
