American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus, Georgia is a supplemental insurance company that provides cash benefits for injuries or illness. Business owners provide this service, with no cost to the provider, the employees pay for this by payroll deduction. Which means as a producer, we present the information and then the business owner choices to offer coverage, then the producers sit down with the employees and they choice between 10+ policies that range from accident and health to cancer and hospital indemnities.
So if you as an employee have an accident policy and get hurt, you will get paid cash for that injury. Say you need to go to the chiropractor, all you need to do is get the bill and their information and submit a claim to your producer. Then within a day you could have a check in the mail for that bill.
No charges, no fees, no penalties.
I personally love this product because its meant for us (the normal hard working individual) to put our minds at ease when something does happen. It is affordable, an accident policy costs about or less than a hour of wages per week. So 1/40th of hours invested but you are covered for all 40 hours a week.
