Community Health Access Coalition (CHAC)
• Is a local non-profit and has served our community for over 23 years. CHAC’s vision is that all people will have access with dignity to qualify, affordable, healthcare

• Staff have over 30 years of combined experience as certified counselors assisting with navigating healthcare coverage options.

• Assists with reviewing eligibility, completing applications, securing follow-up requested items, as well as understanding the insurance/healthcare coverage program they have enrolled in

• All assistance is FREE and there is no other organization that provides the same or similar services

CHAC Funding
• In August 2025, CHAC completed year one (1) of a five (5) year grant. We were notified that the Federal Navigator grant was eliminated

• CHAC is currently utilizing funds saved over the years

• CHAC is applying for grants however grants and donations alone cannot sustain staffing

• Chippewa County Commissioners understand the importance of CHAC services and have approved for CHAC to pursue a 0.15 direct millage which will provide critical operating support to help pay for staff, small office equipment, outreach, and education to ensure CHAC can continue to serve local families

• Without new funding, CHAC is at risk of closing the doors at the end of 2026

CHAC Ask
• Vote on the Community Health Access Coalition (CHAC) Health Care Services Millage at the August 4, 2026 election
