A couple of interesting notes with this year’s program. Veterans can qualify and be exempt from being first time home buyers but they do need to be working at a Florida business full time. Teachers and staff need to be K-12 grade. Full time Remote workers will not qualify. Most contract travel nurses from out of State will not qualify, even if working in FL currently. Travel nurses based in Florida and working in Florida would qualify. Reach out to me with any specific questions.

The 2026 Hometown Heroes Program will officially launch on July 13th with $50 million in new funding. This year’s program will utilize the same employment eligibility requirements as the 2025 Hometown Heroes Program, allowing public heroes, active duty military and veterans to take advantage of the program. As with last year the money will not last all year so if you are in the market please reach out to me now. My team and I help public heroes buy a home with very little money out of pocket. While that may be true in some areas, many markets are seeing more inventory and more opportunities than they've had in recent years.
