Broadway will be closed ⚠️on Saturday June 1st, 2024 for the 81st annual Santa Maria Elks Rodeo Parade. Its closure will be from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. from Mill Street to Enos Drive. No parking will allowed on Broadway from Fesler Street to Enos Drive Saturday morning starting at 7:30 a.m. However, Fesler Street and Battles Road will remain open to cross Broadway.
Be advised to exit from the Highway 101 through Stowell Street exit to spectate from the Stowell Shopping Center or take the Main Street exit to view the parade north of the City Hall. 🐎

Why business insurance is so important?

Commercial Auto will be the next wave of rate increases and non-renewals. Now is the time to have an agent to talk to not an 800 number that transfers you. Here we go!! This is a very significant scenario for State Farm and its insureds in California. This just continues to validate what I have been posting about. In total it’s probably going to be about 75k policies that will be affected but I think it will probably be more significant. There’s so much going on in the industry that every day we wait for new guidelines, requirements and companies that are no longer offering coverage for certain industries. I will try to post a few things every week to keep you updated and provide some tips. Remember every company is different so this is just my perspective and what I’m experiencing.
1. Don’t get a DUI. Companies are not offering coverage for individuals with this on their records. If you currently have a DUI then your company may potentially non renew your policy. Remember DUI stays on Record for 10 years. There are substandard companies out there but it’s expensive and they have strict guidelines.
2. Commercial Auto is being Cancelled by multiple carriers due to high claims and usage of the vehicles. If this happens: get your declaration pages, an updated driver list and your Loss Run Reports for at least 3 years. Most carriers want the whole package so if you’re wanting to stay with them ask if they can write your business policy as well.
3. My office can help with all these scenarios. We have multiple companies and always try to find the best policy for your needs. It’s a crazy time for insurance and I would suggest a policy review with your agent and if you don’t have one then I would be happy to review it for you. 805-928-4525

And now Liberty Mutual is now renewing and stopping all Commercial Insurance in good ole California! This is starting to be a pattern for the insurance companies. There’s a lot of shake up in Insurance and it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Recently All State which is one of the biggest companies in the country made the decision to non renew all of their Business Insurance policies in California. Any business owners with commercial policies will no longer be insured by them in Ca. Just this week Costco announced they’re discontinuing offering Auto and Home Insurance to their members due to the carrier decision. I’ve never seen so many companies decide to not do business in California before. This industry has taught me that with turmoil comes opportunities and that’s how I will look at what’s going on.
