Ms. ###X
Before closing this conversation permanently, I’ll offer one final perspective—not out of defensiveness, but because sometimes clarity can be a gift.
You described my emails as “defensive,” “unprofessional,” and “inappropriately personal.” Let’s be honest: those words were used not because of how I communicated—but because I didn’t immediately meet your expectations.
You contacted me for the first time on Monday, July 21st. I responded on Thursday, July 25th—within four days—during a week in which I was out of the office caring for a dying family member. My voicemail made that clear. You reached out as a new, unsolicited referral, and were treated with the same respect and diligence I offer every potential client. That is not unprofessional. That is simply what fairness looks like.
If my honesty about our availability came across as “too personal,” that says more about your discomfort with human reality than it does about my conduct. This is a people-centered business. If you expect mechanical service with no humanity, I’m not the right fit—and that became obvious quickly.
You want to talk about obligations? I showed up for you while in the middle of grief. I gave you time, communication, and options. You gave me condescension.
You chose to walk away, and I’m at peace with that. But let the record reflect:
You were not mistreated.
You were not ignored.
You were simply told the truth—and you didn’t like it.
No further response will be made.
