Today marks the end of slavery. Black Surf Santa Cruz is hosting its sixth annual Liberation Paddle-Out to commemorate the Juneteenth holiday. The paddle-out is scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday, with the festivities beginning at noon at Cowell Beach in Santa Cruz.

May we also continue to stand against racial discrimination and injustice as we celebrate freedom.

Beach wheelchairs are free at all these local state beaches:

Reservable in advance:
♿ Natural Bridges State Beach
♿ Seacliff State Beach
♿ Sunset State Beach

First come, first served:
♿ Seabright State Beach
♿ Twin Lakes State Beach

🧑🏽‍💻 Wheelchairs can be reserved at least five days before your visit. If you don't make a reservation, the wheelchairs are still available on a first-come, first-served basis. 😊

Beach wheelchairs are also available at Seabright and Twin Lakes state beaches on a first-come, first-served only basis. Check in at the lifeguard tower.
