When finalizing your critical loan, purchase, re-fi or Heloc transaction there is a difference between a Notary Public and a Notary Signing Agent. With a bit if extra care, getting documents notarized with Covid restrictions is not difficult. I always arrive masked and gloved, signers are also masked, use their own pens, documents are prepared in advance to limit time together, hand sanitizer is used before any thumbprint contact, and distance is maintained and outside venues utilized when possible. I am fully vaccinated and as more and more people are, we can indeed keep things moving.

Enjoyed the opportunity this week to meet Marcy James of Cross Country Mortgage and assist her client with a loan signing. I have signed for Cross Country and Marcy many times before. It is the nature of this business that I often will sign docs for lenders over a long period of time without ever meeting them. So it is nice to finally meet her in person!

Loan docs have changed once again for all loans originating after Oct. 3. New paperwork and disclosures are more complete and easier. I have been certified on these revisions and can assist clients and escrow alike. Looking forward to assisting borrowers through this process!

Pricing of Mobile Notary services is determined in a couple of ways. First, the California maximum allowable fee per signature notarized is $15 per. This is applicable across the board be it at a UPS store, a bank, or in your home. All travel fees and/or any fees for e-doc printing are additional. Most loan packages (re-fi, purchase, VA, FHA etc) are notarized and signed by a Certified Notary Signing Agent and will range from $150 to $200, with additional money added on for Power of Attorney signings and the like. This is standard from almost all banks, lenders, and escrow firms.
