Diana’s track record of funding 95-97% of all loans for her clients is grounded in her genuine interest in people. But Diana believes that technology can never replace personal, face-to-face interactions with clients. The personal relationships she builds with her clients goes far beyond what is needed for the loan: the recommendations she makes are very specific to a client’s exact life circumsta
nces, not just their financial situation. Unlike many loan officers who delegate the complete process to their staff, she follows every loan from the first meeting through to the closing. Although she has an excellent operations staff and assistant, she reviews every file that goes through her office. Diana’s love for the real estate business began as a child. Her father, Dean Raber, was a long-time, beloved Realtor® in Santa Barbara. When she was a single mother with three children, he encouraged her to become a loan officer. Perfect advice, as it turned out! She went on to close the highest dollar value of loans in every company she worked at; she is consistently the top producer is Santa Barbara. During her 30 years in the mortgage business, she has helped fund over 3 billion dollars in loans. Her reputation as top producer opens many doors for her. It gives her direct access to higher-ups in the loan business. While most loan officers have to go through normal channels, she can quickly get right to the person with the answers she needs. With this streamlined process, she can offer clients the very best options in the market. In addition to her busy professional life, Diana finds time for her two other priorities in her life: community and family. Her community involvement includes being on the Council of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Board, Co-Chair of the 2016 Amethyst Ball to benefit CADA, the Dream Foundation, 100 Committee for Girls Inc., Chairperson of The Circle of Red for the American Heart Association, and Co-Chair of the 2016 Heart Ball. She is a continuing supporter of the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation and Santa Barbara Zoo. As a result of her fund-raising activities for local causes, she was one of only 6 women in the US and Canada to be nominated and selected as a Premier Ambassador for Donna Karans “Women Who Inspire” campaign. She held this position from 2010-2014. But Diana’s most important title is “Grandma!” She is married with three sons and daughters-in-law, 7 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren. When her busy schedule allows, she enjoys spending time with them at the family home in Lake Tahoe. Her weekend hobbies are collecting antiques and painting modern art in oils and acrylics.
