Kate's December Message: Increasing housing prices to remain steady? One of the main reasons outlined in this article are the people who purchased in 2020/2021 at record low rates. Homeowners with low rates will be reluctant to sell - in short - inventory will remain low and demand will remain high. Purchasing now if you can will allow you to grasp better deals in a less competitive market. Mortgage applications are increasing this month as rates have remained stabilized since November 10th. My trusted experts believe rates will trend downwards in the middle of 2023. Which in turn will stir up another competitive housing market.
