Maybe they were fighting over the last can of formula on the shelf? We at Orange County Bail Bonds do not condone violence in any manner. Our question is - if this occurred in May of this year, why is this just being shared now? If the perp supposedly left with a woman and children, why didn't someone get a license plate or a description of the family? strange times!

Grocery-store assault in Santa Ana leaves man with fractured skull

It’s the act of a desperate man. George Gascon, Los Angeles County District Attorney facing a recall effort, has sent out an email asking for donations to fight his case. Mr. Gascon obviously doesn’t know that I’m a licensed Bail Bond agent, and I’ve written blog posts (see Orange County Bail Bonds bailall.com) tweets, Facebook posts, and Instagram all supporting his recall.
Orange County Bail Bonds, and the bail industry in general are opposed to George Gascon’s policies which are soft on crime and criminals and wanting to eliminate bail.
How many times must the people have to vote and protest legislation and laws that protect criminals instead of the public?
In the email I received, Gascon points out his “fight to end wage theft” from corporations, while not addressing the issues that have led to the recall effort against him, mainly his unwillingness to punish criminals.
The current recall effort has passed 450,000 signatures, there need to be 566,857 signatures from registered Los Angeles County voters, by the cutoff date of July 6,2022. That’s when the County Registrar has to have that amount to put the recall effort on the ballot in the November 2022 general election. Thousands of petitions are being turned in daily, and millions are being mailed directly to voters. It’s important that leaders in the community as well as residents continue to get involved with this recall effort to get it qualified for the ballot.
The reasons for this recall effort are many, but basically it stems from policies and directives put in place by District Attorney Gascon after he was elected. His policies have placed the lives of residents in danger as well as demoralizing police, and seriously harming the families of crime victims.
The recall effort blames Gascon for rising crime stats. At the risk of lulling readers to sleep with numbers it needs to be pointed out that in 2020,
the percentage of people jailed decreased by 66 percent with an increase in murder rates of 31 percent. There are those who blame Gascon for these numbers.
A few of his directives are as follows:
• Special Directive 20-06, which essentially eliminates cash bail within L.A. County for “any misdemeanor, non-serious felony, or non-violent felony offense.”
• Special Directive 20-07, which directs prosecutors to decline or dismiss a series of misdemeanor charges, including trespassing, drug possession, and resisting arrest
• Special Directive 20-08, which originally eliminated sentencing enhancements for most charges. It has since been amended to allow for such enhancements for serious charges such as child abuse, s*x trafficking, and hate crimes.
Additionally, as much as 98 percent of prosecutors, along with sheriffs and Los Angeles police do NOT support George Gascon.

We at Orange County Bail Bonds have opposed legislators who have tried to eliminate bail and bonds. The public of California have spoken ( and voted) against nonsensical reforms with good reason. The numbers speak for themselves: without bail, criminals are released back onto the streets, with no incentive to appear in court. That makes it easy to get out to commit new crimes with no fear of punishment. Simply put: incarcerations down, crimes up.
Recall George Gascon!

VOTE NO ON PROP 25

Dear Clients,

First, let me say thank you for allowing us to help you secure the release of your loved one from jail. We are sincerely sorry you had to use our services, but we are glad we were there to help you in your time of crisis. And that brings me to my point; If Proposition 25 passes, we will not be there to help you in the future. You or your loved one might have to wait in jail until the entire criminal case goes through the slow process of our court system!

There will be NO BAIL - even for the innocent!

In 2018, Sacramento politicians eliminated the bail system in California and replaced it with a system of
profiling based on biased computer formulas to decide who stays in jail and who does not.

Proponents claimed it would give disadvantaged defendants a more level playing field – but it would do just
the opposite. AND makes our communities more dangerous. AND costs Californians hundreds of millions of dollars. Let us discuss criminal justice reform, but not at the expense of human lives and our communities.

Voters have a chance to stop this assault on the rights of all Californians by Voting NO on Proposition 25!

Prop 25 is BAD for Communities of Color & the Poor
· California’s justice system guarantees people accused of a crime the right to choose bail – Prop 25 would totally eliminate that right and choice.
· The right to choose bail would be replaced by a system of profiling based on complicated computer-generated formulas.
· Civil rights groups like the NAACP oppose Prop 25 because it will create more biased outcomes against people of color and the poor.
· “Prop 25 will be even more discriminatory against African-Americans, Latinos and other minorities…using these profiling m**hods to decide who gets released from jail…has been proven to hurt communities of color.” Alice Huffman, President, California State Conference of the NAACP.

Prop 25 is BAD for Public Safety
· With bail agents eliminated, the responsibility for ensuring defendants show up for trial would be shifted to already strapped counties – there is no accountability for defendants to return to court.
· California’s experiment with “zero bail” during the coronavirus pandemic had disastrous results as many defendants were arrested – released back on the streets and committing new crimes within hours – and rearrested the same day.
· Prop 25 makes “zero bail” permanent.

Prop 25 is BAD for Counties & Taxpayers
· Prop 25 forces counties to create a new bureaucracy to determine who will and will not get released from jail pending trial.
· The CA Legislature estimates that eliminating money bail will likely cost “hundreds of millions of dollars per year
· Replacing bail agents with county probation staff will cost local governments $900 million and reduce state tax revenue by $21 million per year.
· The State is facing a $54 billion deficit thanks to COVID-19 – why do we want to dig ourselves deeper in to a hole?

Prop 25 is BAD for Business and Jobs
· Would put more than 3,000 small business bail companies out of business forever.
· Would destroy the jobs of more than 7,500 men and women
· We need to OPEN doors for small business, job and economic growth during this pandemic -not slam them shut!

“Prop 25 is UNFAIR & BIASED. Even tech leaders like Google, Facebook & Amazon – who use algorithms in their business – have come out against their use to make determinations on risk assessment because they lead to more biased outcomes for poor and minority defendants. ”
